Six UC Berkeley faculty members and top scholars have been elected to the American Academy of Arts and Sciences (AAAS), a 241-year-old organization honoring the country’s most accomplished artists, scholars, scientists and leaders who help solve the world’s most urgent challenges.
Four of the six newest electees include the following faculty members from the College of Letters & Science:
- Stefano DellaVigna, Daniel E. Koshland, Sr. Distinguished Professor of Economics, Division of Social Sciences; Professor of Business Administration
- Tyrone Hayes, Professor of Integrative Biology, Division of Biological Sciences
- Stephen Hinshaw, Professor of Psychology, Division of Social Sciences
- R. Jay Wallace, Judy Chandler Webb Distinguished Chair for Innovative Teaching and Research; Professor of Philosophy, Division of Arts & Humanities
