Student groups & additional campus programs!

The Compass Project is a student run group that seeks to nurture a community-focused environment that will empower students to succeed in pursuing their scientific interests and contribute uniquely to the physical sciences community.
The Society of Women in the Physical Sciences (SWPS) is a student group run by female graduate students in Physics, Astronomy, Earth and Planetary Sciences and Biophysics at the University of California, Berkeley. 
The Summer Fellows Program (SURF) is a summer bridge program for entering graduate students. Students are provided with summer support that enables them to enter research early or prepare for preliminary exams over the summer. Fellows attend weekly luncheon seminars, with summer topics geared for incoming students.
IGenSpectrum is a student group at UC Berkeley dedicated to improving the visibility and professional preparation of LGBT physicists.

EPS Geoscience Students of Color (GSOC) welcomes all EPS undergraduate students, graduate students, and alumni to join their meetings. GSOC is a space for students of color and allies to connect. GSOC offers peer-to-peer mentoring and tutoring programs. 

Womxn in Mathematics at Berkeley (WxM) is an organization that serves to foster a community and provide a network amongst the undergraduate women in mathematics at Cal.
