The Fifth National Climate Assessment, whose authors include UC Berkeley Georgraphy Professor Tianna Bruno, is the U.S. Government’s preeminent report on climate change impacts, risks and responses. It is a congressionally mandated interagency effort that provides the scientific foundation to support informed decision-making across the United States. As an author for the Southern Great Plains chapter focused on Texas, Oklahoma and Kansas, Professor Bruno shared her expertise on climate and environmental justice in the region.
