I started as an assistant professor at the University of Michigan, after 2 years I moved my lab to Berkeley, where I have been since 2016. My research group is typically comprised of 8-10 people - a mix of students/staff/postdocs. Our work intersects microbiology, virology, molecular biology, evolution, public health and epidemiology.
