Since 2013, enrollment in L&S has grown by 24 percent. Our internationally recognized faculty don’t teach just L&S’s thousands of students; every single undergraduate enrolled in Berkeley’s professional colleges comes to L&S to take key courses. In the fall of 2019, an astonishing 28 percent of our L&S students were the first in their families to attend college. With state funding flat, we rely on philanthropic investment to continue driving economic mobility for our students and supporting research creativity for the world. When you provide scholarships for talented students or funding for our faculty, your positive impact is magnified by our unparalleled combination of excellence and scale.
Help us create transformative academic experiences for thousands of undergraduate students. Donor contributions make possible captivating small seminars, independent research opportunities, and cross-disciplinary coursework, fueling moments of discovery for thousands of undergraduates each semester.
We also encourage you to support other areas in L&S via the funds below.
