K U Z Gene in Neurogenesis

K U Z Gene in Neurogenesis

The K U Z gene is required to inhibit neural cell fate from insects to mammals. Shown here is a frog, Xenopus, embryo that had been injected on the lower side with an inhibitor of KU Z, indicated by the red dye. Extra neurons (blue staining) formed on the injected side of the embryo.
