Bio/CV: 

John Thacher currently serves as Chairman of the Board of Directors of Wilbur-Ellis, a 100-year-old family-owned company specializing in the marketing and distribution of agricultural products throughout North America. Mr. Thacher’s career began at Cuvaison Winery, where he worked for 25 years through 2001, ultimately becoming President. In 2002 he joined Wibur-Ellis to become part of the leadership team as Vice President of Strategic Planning and Business Development.  He subsequently became President and CEO in 2006 until 2018 when he transitioned to Executive Chairman of the Board of Directors. John currently serves on additional boards, including the Cuvaison Winery Board since 2002, the Fourte Board, the Pacific Institute Board, The Lyles Diversified Board, and the Caldic Board. Previously, he served on the Rabobank N.A. Board for 10 years and on multiple Wilbur-Ellis subsidiary boards.  Mr. Thacher earned a Bachelor of Arts degree from The University of California, Berkeley in 1977. He and his wife, Carry, live in St. Helena. They have two daughters, Lauren and Carolyn.
