The CIQC is pleased to announce that Dr. Claire Cramer has joined UC Berkeley as the new Executive Director of the CIQC and Executive Director of Berkeley Quantum, bringing to campus a remarkable combination of scientific expertise, national leadership experience, and cross-agency experience building major scientific programs in quantum information science.
Dr. Cramer’s appointment was celebrated publicly for the first time during the opening reception of the Roger Herst Quantum Nexus on November 6, held the evening before the State of California’s Quantum Convening, organized by the Governor’s Office of Business and Economic Development (GO-Biz). The Nexus event brought together faculty from across UC Berkeley and Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory, industry leaders, national laboratories, state representatives, and colleagues from institutions including Stanford, Caltech, UCLA, and UC Santa Barbara, providing an ideal venue to introduce Dr. Cramer to the broader California quantum community.
