What advice do you have for L&S students in general?

Take advantage of your time as a student. This is your opportunity to pursue your passions, and take risks! There is no shame in asking questions, this is a part of your personal and professional growth. Take time to explore different student organizations, study abroad, and conduct research if possible. Your major does not always equal your career, but having a wide range of professional and personal experiences can often lead you to where you need to be.

How did you get here?

I became interested in education my junior year at UC Berkeley while exploring the education minor, and working as a mentor/tutor in Oakland. My students' educational experiences challenged my perspective on college access, and inspired me to help create equal opportunities for disadvantaged youth to attend and matriculate to college. I loved (and grew a lot from) my college experience, and I am excited to help you meet your goals, and explore new interests.

About me

I am Oakland born and raised. As an undergraduate I studied abroad in Mexico City and Spain and continue to take at least one international trip a year. I Iove to dance, hike, and sing Backstreet Boys songs during karaoke. I am also a proud sister of Lambda Theta Alpha Latin Sorority, Inc.
