The L&S Finding Your Way program together with residential Academic Services, the ASUC, and Career Center plans to host a series of three major and resource fairs April 9, 10, & 11 2007 in Pauley Ballroom. The plan is to conduct the fairs in advance of Tele-BEARS appointments for freshmen (and other undeclared students) to help them plan for their time to declaration. Each fair will have its own divisional focus; one fair will feature Arts and Humanities departments, another fair will feature Social Sciences/Interdisciplinary & Area Studies, and a third will feature Biological and Physical Sciences majors.
The layout of each fair will have one section devoted to representatives of the majors of the featured division(s), as well as another area devoted to academic enrichment and career resources such as the Career Center, URAP, Study Abroad and specific undergraduate student organizations/honor societies. We also plan to hold concurrent workshops to help engage students in major, enrichment, and career exploration. The planning committee will be in touch with major advisers soon to get your input and ideas. We look forward to working with the departments in this effort!
