Commencement
Commencement ceremonies are held in May. Students completing requirements during the spring semester or the preceding fall semester are welcome to participate. Majors should contact the ISF Student Affairs Officer at least three months before the May ceremony. See the UGIS Commencement web site for more information.
TO RECEIVE A DIPLOMA: Students must declare their candidacy for graduation in the semester in which they plan to complete all requirements. They may do this during the preceding Tele-Bears period or during the last semester by contacting the Registrar's Office in l20 Sproul, 642-2247. Students must put themselves "on the degree list" in order to officially graduate. This must be done before the end of the 3rd week of the last semester of attendance. If all courses are not completed, then the student will need to place him/herself on the degree again - in the next semester in which they will attempt to complete all classes.
