How to Declare

Students must complete the following prerequisites with a 2.0 (C) average:

• Math 1A "Calculus" (AP credit is also accepted)
• Cogsci c1/Educ c1 "Introduction to Cognitive Science"
• CS 61A "The Structure and Interpretation of Computer Programs"

Everyone must still complete the lower division requirements of Discrete Math (Math 55 or CS70) and MCB 61 or 64, but neither course must be completed prior to declaration.

If you are currently enrolled in the last prerequisite courses you need to declare Cognitive Science, then you may file a pending declaration. Your declaration will be processed when the grades from the current semester become available. Forms are available in the program office, 359 Campbell Hall.
