Friends and colleagues will gather on the UC Berkeley campus to celebrate the extraordinary life of Daniel E. Koshland, Jr. at a memorial to be held at 4 p.m. on Sunday, Sept. 16 in Zellerbach Hall. Doors will open at 3:30 p.m.
Prior to the memorial service, an academic symposium entitled "Induced Fit: The Science and Wit of Daniel E. Koshland, Jr." will be held from 12 to 3 p.m. in Stanley Hall. Those planning to attend the symposium and service are asked to register online.
Koshland was a longtime professor of molecular and cell biology at UC Berkeley and a former editor of the journal Science. He died on July 23 at the age of 87.
