UCLA
The UCLA campus has created the DIGSSS Fellows Program to provide students in the social, economic and behavioral sciences with tools that will ensure success in their doctoral studies. DIGSSS Fellows at UCLA are offered a $5,000 summer research stipend as a part of their funding package. During the summer between their 1st and 2nd years, students are expected to participate in a faculty-mentored project that strengthens their active academic engagement and advances their degree progress.
In addition to participation in the summer program, UC-DIGSSS Fellows will have the opportunity to participate in future workshops, activities, and events that encourage high-level scholarship and research productivity that prepare students for successful academic careers. DIGSSS Fellows also participate in an Academic Research Cluster (ARC) with peers from varying fields around common research interests. They will have access to support services throughout their academic careers at UCLA to promote timely degree acquisition.
