UC Berkeley offers these tools and opportunities to help you make the most of your undergraduate experience.

An advising tool for arts & humanities and social sciences students. STEP by
Step offers valuable
information and year-by-year advice for all UCB undergraduates interested in preparing
for graduate study.
Domestic Exchange Program with Fisk and Spelman Universities. The University of California–Berkeley participates in a "domestic exchange" program with Fisk University and Spelman College. Through this program, students of the social sciences may apply to "exchange" a semester at Fisk University and Spelman College. Likewise, students from those institutions may apply to spend a semester at UC–Berkeley, taking upper division courses in their specific areas of research interest.
Summer research opportunities for undergradutes. Sophomores, juniors, and seniors have the opportunity to participate in a wide range of exciting and challenging research programs each summer. Programs are unique to each sponsoring institution.
