This life-size cast of a Tyrannosaurus rex fossil, based on the real thing, was painstakingly reconstructed by the staff of the Museum of Paleontology. It now resides in the heart of the newly renovated Valley Life Science Building which is the home of the Department of Integrative Biology, much of the biology teaching program, and the "Natural History Museums" (T. Rex is surrounded by the Museum of Vertebrate Zoology, the U. C. Museum of Paleontology, and the Herbaria) and the Marian Koshland Bioscience and Natural Resources Library. Several of the Integrative Biology faculty specialize in the study of dinosaurs evolution.
