Free Training - many Calpact workshops still have openings

Greetings all,

Calpact still has a number of openings for FREE training - taught on site by
UCB's training partner AcademyX. Classes are primarily held in 28 University
Hall and taught on Microsoft Office 2007 and Adobe CS3. See

This summer we've added open lab times 2-4pm Aug 18 and/or Sept 29- come
stump the tech and explore self pace training through E-learn.
Try our new 1 hour webinar from anywhere 2-3pm Sept 8 on "Overview of MS
Office 2007 Ribbon Technology".

Authenticate using your Calnet ID
select "UCB Learning Center"in the "Self Service" section.
>From there you can browse or search on the word "Calpact", by topic "Word
2007", or course code e.g. BECOE006* or to find the course you want and
actually enroll.

Other training options include:

* Use e-Learn for on-line self-paced tutorials and reference books.
Go to Blu http://blu.berkeley.edu <http://blu.berkeley.edu/> log-in with
your CalNet ID and locate e-learn within the self-service box. Try one of
our open computer Lab Sessions this summer to "find the time" to try self
paced training.
* If the posted CalPact schedule does not meet your needs, save 40%

To get the UCB rate, type "UC" in the "add coupon" then recalculate to see

* Staff can also attend free workshops through Haas Computing
<http://groups.haas.berkeley.edu/HCS/training.html> Services as space
permits. They teach in 90 minute modules on MS 2007. Classes at Haas are
fast paced and designed for MBA students. Do not expect the class to slow
down or cater to you.
