Hi folks,
The campus User-Centered Design (UCD) Group is excited to be showing
UIE's "Comps vs. Code: Case Studies on Collaboration" seminar LIVE
next Thursday, July 30th from 10:30am-12pm in 4 Dwinelle Hall. You can
watch a preview of the seminar here: http://www.uie.com/events/virtual_seminars/comps_code/
. We'll also have a short discussion afterwards -- feel free to bring
your lunch!
We'll receive a link to the slides before the event...I'll post it to
the "UIE Seminars" bSpace (http://bspace.berkeley.edu) site and notify
these mailing lists as soon as we receive it. We recommend bringing a
copy of the slides to the seminar. I'll also post the full seminar
recording of this event to bSpace when we receive it after the event
is over. Please contact me if you are not currently a member of the
bSpace site and need access. If you are a member, after logging into
bSpace with your CalNet ID, "UIE Seminars" should appear as a bSpace
'tab' near the top of the page.
From the UIE.com website:
"In this popular presentation, Ethan Marcotte teaches about the
collaborative process through three detailed case studies. The case
studies demonstrate important before and after detail of the lesson to
be leraned. They also happen to be major sites you know of and can
visit today: The 2008 Sundance Film Festival, The W3C and The New York
Times."
Hope to see you there!
