Another possibility: upload the photos to Flickr, a free photo
sharing service, use Flickr to create a slideshow from those images,
and embed the slideshow by adding a single <iframe ...> tag to the
relevant webpage:

Paul Stamatiou
"HOW TO Quickie: Embedded Flickr Slideshows"
http://paulstamatiou.com/2005/11/19/how-to-quickie-embedded-flickr-slideshows/

Flickr appears to use Flash to deliver these slideshows, but you
don't need to have any of the Flash-creation tools in order to make
them; Flickr will automatically generate the slideshows for you.

It is also possible to embed a slideshow of PowerPoint slides in a
web page in much the same way:

Amit Agarwal
"Embed Powerpoint Slides as Flash Presentations in your Blog without
Spending a Dime"
http://labnol.blogspot.com/2006/09/embed-powerpoint-slides-as-flash.html

From a quick reading, it appears that only static images of your
PowerPoint slides will appear in the slideshow; any transition
effects, embedded video and sound clips, and the like won't be
included.

I haven't tried either of these techniques, but they look interesting.
