Rollover/Hide email/Javascript

Good Morning, All

I currently have a javascript for a rollover link that runs mailto:.
What I want to do is keep this rollover but hide the email address
(href="name@address.edu") from spam crawlers.

Does anyone out there have a set up like this and if so can you provide
the code snippet so I can set up my web site the same way?
