Re: ADA compliance for Javascript hover menus

Hello all.

I utilized the <noscript></noscript> code effectively to work with browsers that have JS turned off, whether
intentionally or that are not capable. When JS is off, my hover "trigger" buttons just become regular linked images
that go off to a static text menu page. I am hoping that by offering this option that I am now compliant:

§ 1194.22 Web-based intranet and internet information and applications.

(l) When pages utilize scripting languages to display content, or to create interface elements, the information provided
by the script shall be identified with functional text that can be read by assistive technology.

My assumption is that, based on my experience with Lynx and Jaws, JS will not be available and the noscript will work as
I have tested it.

I hope this helps everyone, and if anyone knows something different, please let me know.
