Reading the varying number of pages cited by respondents to this question,
I wonder if the actual size of a site is a good metric of the workload.

Our course pages are updated at least once a week during the semester, and
things like seminar lists are revised at least weekly. Other pages have
cobwebs on them all through the year, not just October 31st. My estimate
is that we update at least 10% of our 700+ XHTML/PDF items each week.
