Our website is several thousand pages of text and images, no back-end
database and very little flash (in the generic sense). There is
quite a bit of video on the site, but it is served from other
locations.
Text, graphics, and other non-server support is basically a
one-person shop, although sometimes I have student support at 10-12
hrs/week. I'm able to spend about 25 hrs/week on the site (I also do
tech support for our unit, and print production). Unix server
support is contracted out and probably takes an average of 2-3
hrs/week (this average takes into account larger tasks such as new
hard drive and server software this year).
Content update -- ~15-20 hrs/week
New content -- ~15-20 hrs/week (includes a lot of time in editing new
content, which is largely transcriptions of verbal interviews)
Graphic design/photo work -- 5-10 hrs/week
If the totals don't add up, that explains why I'm always behind.
