Thanks for bringing that up, Sara. I had heard raved about and purchased
The Non-Designer's Web Book and have been vastly underwhelmed by it. It
seemed that the first 6 or so chapters were more a tour of the internet and
what it does--why it's better than print, how to find a URL--like a primer
on surfing. I must admit, I was so turned off by the book that I stopped
reading *just as* it got to design. Do tell me--does it get better?
Is the Design Book similar in its simplicity and overexplaining? The
quizzes at the end of each chapter--in which of these situtatioins is it
better to use print? Can you find a website for dog owners?--really put me off.
