I hope this finds you and yours in good health. Our thoughts and prayers
are with New York.
We are rescheduling our Sept. 11 meeting for next Tuesday, Sept. 18. My
sincere apologies to those who came directly to the Sept. 11 meeting,
only to find it canceled - especially Steve Stanley, who came from the
Richmond Field Station. I hope you can make it to this one.

TOPIC: site structure and navigation, via discussion of two recent
redesigns
ABSTRACT: I'll be teaming with Jennifer Gwirtz, Philosophy Dept. Web
manager, to focus on site navigation, organization, and architecture.
Jennifer has an MFA in New Genres from the SF Art Institute, and I have
eleven years' experience as an editor, so we have right-brain/left-brain
approaches. Philosophy is a small site, while Psychology is a
medium-sized site. Yet we mostly agree on what constitutes "good
navigation." We'll be talking about navigation in the context of our
recent and/or in-progress redesigns:
