Folks,
We have a meeting room and date for the next UC Campus Webmasters get
together:
Monday, August 13th, 12 - 1 PM, 370 Dwinelle
BYOBBFOL - Bring your own brown bag full of lunch
370 Dwinelle is on the top floor of the Dwinelle Mystery House. There are
two elevators in Dwinelle that will get you there, one in the northwest
section of the building, and the other in the northeast section. Please send
me a note back if you plan on attending, so I can put together an email
list.
This is our second such gathering. Based on info I got back from earlier
emails, people seemed interested in meeting in a location that could be
dedicated to the group, rather than an open public gathering place such as
the Faculty Club. A couple of folks suggested that we have topics, but the
majority of respondants (there were maybe 12 people who responded) preferred
the original open format where we just sat and talked and ate and met each
other, etc. I will provide name tags, because it's nice to have names
attached to faces (well, at least to bodies.)
The room is available from 11:30 to 1:30, for those who want to get there
early and stay late. I believe there are a number of tables available, and
chairs.
I've given some thought to putting together a few tables with BIRDS OF A
FEATHER (BOF)topics, but that's about as organized as I think we want to
get. Any comments or suggestions greatly appreciated.
