Dear All,

Please join us for BPAWG’s December meeting.

BPAWG: IT Collaboration Strategy and How To Use Some Tools
*Thursday, December 18, 3:00 – 4:30*
Tang Center, Section Club Room

The meeting has two parts, related to collaboration:

1) Ian Crew and his team from IST will discuss a proposed strategy for
the campus on facilitating collaboration through IT. Among the issues
addressed: how to include non-campus people in collaborations; when is
it appropriate to store campus data with outside providers; and how to
select tools under conditions of rapid innovation. Your Q&A is welcome.
Background:

2) We will be talking about the use of collaboration “tools”, their
purpose, function and effectiveness. We will also have a chance to see
some of these tools in action. So if you have ever been interested in
learning how to Skype or have wondered what GoTo Meeting is all about,
come along!

Panelists:

*** Ian Crew and his team from IST .

*** James Dudek of Kuali Student will demonstrate Skype (with a surprise
guest!).

*** Anna Maurer from Rec Sports will demonstrate the use of GoToMeeting
and GoToWebinar.

We will also be streaming the meeting live. So if you can’t join us,
tune in at http://www.ustream.tv/channel/bpawg---december-18%2C-2008 .
We hope to see you there, and wish you all the best for a wonderful
holiday season.

Best,

James and Bond
