Kin,

I was happy to see this so I took a quick look at this page
and configured a Vostro 400 minitower. The total was $575.88.

I then went to the Dell Small Business page. Guess what!
An even better Vostro 400 minitower (better processor,
larger disk drive) is $479.00!! In other words, by using
the new UCOP-DELL Agreement to buy a Vostro 400, we're being
penalized almost $100, which is about 20%!

To be fair, I also took a look at the configuration for
an Optiplex 755. In this case, the situation was just
the opposite. The UC price was $807.73 and the
small business price was $1052, for a difference of
$245, which ironically is again about 20%.

So, it appears that sometimes the UCOP-DELL agreement
is bad for us and sometimes it's good for us. I was
hoping the a new UCOP-DELL agreement would eliminate
this uncertainty and leave us knowing that we're
always getting the best possible deal from Dell
but I guess it's not going to happen this time.

By the way, disk pricing for the UC Optiplex 755
is a little strange, e.g. a 160GB drive is included,
or for $.30 less, you get a 250GB drive!

Cordially,
