I wanted you all to be aware of a Programmer / Analyst II opening in BTS
(Business and Technology Solutions, Administration). The position is in the

Description

The Computer Operations and Information Services group is a unit within the
office of the Vice Chancellor of Administration. COIS provides all levels of
computer support and services to 600+ users within the Chancellor's Office
and all Budget, Planning and Finance groups. The two units within COIS,
Information Technology and Information Systems, support planning, analysis,
development, support, maintenance, reporting and training on systems using
the mainframe, as well as on microcomputers and servers in a complex local
area network. The Information Technology unit provides microcomputer
specifications and installations, large administrative network servers,
application software packages, and a user support and help desk. The
Information Systems unit designs, programs and maintains multi-user,
relational databases, with access from the web for updates and reporting.
The primary systems support the Academic Personnel Office, the Budget
Office, the Office of Planning and Analysis, Space Management and Capital
Projects and Financial Services.

Responsibilities

Design, develop, implement, maintain moderately complex SQL databases, web
applications and Access front ends to update databases. Write Access
reports. Analyze user requirements. Test, troubleshoot, and support ad hoc
requests.

Requirements & Qualifications

Broad knowledge/ experience in:

- designing / developing interactive web applications and moderately complex
relational database systems (MS SQL Server / Oracle preferred)

- web application development tools such as ASP.net, VB.net, ColdFusion,
Dreamweaver UltraDev, Java

- systems analysis / design
