On a similar note, there have been some Web applications popping up
that are designed to let you access instant messenger services on
your via a Web site. I've clicked on over to the sites to have a
look at them (with my desktop browser), then stopped cold before
entering my account name and password. I'm sure these folks have the
best intentions, but there's no way to know whether or not the site
owners are capturing your authentication.

Maybe by the time my $15 Tracfone wears out, the iPhone will do all
of these things and wash my windows, too... ;)
