Thanks to everyone for your suggestions. Several of you touched on
the problem. The problem was that the directory was limited to a
specific number of entries at the root level. As soon as I created a
folder, I was able to copy as much as I wanted into it. I bought this
card for a digital photo frame so I hope the frame will locate the
pictures in the folder and display with no problem. I'll be giving it
a try tonight.
