Linux: Dependencies and yum update

Good day,

I'm trying to use "yum update" on a linux server. I keep on getting a
dependency failure:

Processing Dependency: /etc/clamd.d for package: amavisd-new
--> Finished Dependency Resolution
Error: Missing Dependency: /etc/clamd.d is needed by package amavisd-new

####

I'm a bit confused as both packages are installed and the binaries
(and their location) look good.

What I've done in response is try to uninstall both binaries (clamav*
and amavisd-new) to try to get them to recognize they are "friends"
to no avail. Are there any guru's out there that can make a
suggestion? I've done "the Google" and found some Japanese pages that
haven't helped.

Thank you,

David
