Hi There,
We have a backup server running Windows 2000 SP4 and I'm having
trouble getting it to "see" media from the DLT drive I just hooked
up. I have a production server setup exactly the same and the backup
works just fine. For some reason this one has trouble. The error is
"There is no unused media available with the selected type..." When
comparing the two servers I did find one difference (see the
attachments). I can't get the backup server setup in the same way as
the production server.
I figure if I can make DLT available in the different media pools it
would work, but I can't modify the Free, Import, or Unrecognized
media pools. Unfortunately, I have no idea how DLT was added to the
production server's media pools. Also, the red X on the drive in
Physical Locations shows that the drive state is "Not present." I'm
not sure how to change the state from "Not present" to "Ready."
Any help would be very much appreciated.
Thanks,
Javier
