of the recently announced Acrobat 8.0 Professional and Acrobat Connect
Professional, and how you can leverage these tools for live presentations,
efficient data collection, distance learning, and real-time collaboration.
Find out how educators are putting Acrobat Connect Professional to work
alongside their existing teaching environments, and just how easy it is to
bring the collaborative power of Acrobat 8.0 Professional to learning,
research and administrative document workflows.

Hello David,

I have not yet had the opportunity to meet you since you replaced Bob
Callaway last year. I am the Adobe Education Account Manager responsible
for Northern California and specifically the UC Berkeley campus. I wanted
to talk with you about replicating a very successful event that Bob and I
did on campus in the summer of 2005. Adobe came to campus to give a one
hour presentation on Adobe Acrobat 7.0, and the seminar was attended by
about 50 people from various departments all over the campus.

Adobe just shipped a new version of Adobe Acrobat 8.0 last week, and I
suspect there are very few people on your campus who are aware of this or
who have seen the new features in the product. We are also about to ship a
new version of Adobe Breeze, which has been renamed Adobe Acrobat Connect
Pro.

The person who came with me to campus to do the presentation last year was
Ali Hanyaloglu, Education product evangelist. He will be in town from the
east coast doing an Acrobat 8.0 seminar tour in San Francisco on Nov. 30th.
I was wondering if we might be able to schedule a campus presentation that
you could help coordinate on November 29th. I think the use of Acrobat
throughout the Berkeley campus is extremely high, and I am guessing the
session would be very well attended. Last time we did the session in 80
Barrows Hall, which was a bit crowded, but we made it work. The best venue
would be a room with theatre style chairs, no tables necessary. We would
need access to a projector and internet. We could also in the same session
(which could be a 90 minute session) show the Adobe Breeze technology.

Would you like us to come to campus and give an information session on
Acrobat to the UC Berkeley campus community on November 29th? If so, what
time of day would be best, and can you secure a room, a projector and
internet access for us on campus?

Thank you and I look forward to meeting you soon.

Best regards,

Karen Dailey
