Hi, All
For those on this list way ahead of my thinking please pardon my audacity.
I have a few more links I wanted to share concerning IE 7. Some are
dated a few months back yet I feel they are relevant in the event
something hiccups after installing IE and testing starts in force
(granted some of the issues here may be fixed by now yet MS is not known
for doing it that fast so they may still be relevant issues):

One issue that must be made in regards to security of any software is
the more complex and the more plug-ins made available and installed the
greater the security flaws that will show up and be exploited. We truly
can not NOT use this as the business world is running rampant and if we
don't keep up we get left behind. Regardless it is important that we
understand that when more users plug in stuff and increase the
complexity of the software the more holes will be available to exploit.
Can someone program to cover all these holes, nope. It is impossible to
code for all eventualities yet it behooves the developers or in this
case MS to take exploits when they arise very seriously and patch
quickly (not every third Tuesday of the month; patch it quickly now
unless the exploit is such that the hacker will not take the extra
effort to use it). Before allowing the patches we need to test
thoroughly to include researching facts from the net. After all if the
exploit is such that they would rather take an easier route then it is
one that can be taken with a little less salt.
Anyway, read and learn is what I try to do before allowing MS to put it
on my machine ( I admit I am a little paranoid and very much so when it
comes to MS ).
Sincerely,
Charles
