I'm looking forward to seeing these results. I'm also interesting
in how much these things cost because price is a key metric in
evaluating storage products.

I've just ordered a 2TB Infrant Technologies' ReadyNAS NV
(http://www.infrant.com/products_ReadyNAS_NV.htm). It's received
some very good reviews lately. It's a NAS filer with 4 500GB disks
that supports the usual RAID levels. I paid $1945. I'll post
my results when they're ready.
