Hi Folks:

thanks for the replies, especially Lois, who also suggested checking for
possible infiltration. While Symantec did locate/quarantine Adware.Istbar,
and when I checked my firewall it was OFF!! (and it said I did not have
permission to change the settings!!!), their removal tool did not locate
any files compromised.

I've upgraded to v3.01, run scans a couple of times and am able to connect
to secure sites again.

Not really sure what happened. If anyone thinks there is something else to
check, I'm open to suggestions.
