Hi Bill,
A dual boot machine, IMHO, is not very secure for any important data as
booting into OS 9 will by pass the built-in security of OS X.
I used to use a product called On Guard from Power On Software when I had
OS 9 on some of my machines. It had some bugs in it, but overall I found
it to be effective enough to safely secure my Macs. However, I did not
have OS X running on these machines either. My OS X machines now only have OS X
and Classic is not enabled.
You can check out the On Guard website at:
http://www.poweronsoftware.com/products/onGuard/
Another site that might be helpful is:
http://www.bombich.com/software/shadowclassic.html
This may or may not have the funcionality that you want.
I copied MAGNET users on this as someone else may have other suggestions
and comments.
Hope this helps!
Thanks,
