That's true. I took, perhaps wrongly, "file is printable" to mean you
could toss it to a printer without needing to be converted from some
other file format (pdf, bmp, etc).

PDFCreator ( http://www.pdfcreator.de.vu/ ) is GPL'd and works as a
printer driver. Perhaps that driver could be modified to pass the
output through enscript and send it to the printer (and we're no longer
in the realm of "easy")
