ORACLE ENTERPRISE MANAGER 2.2.0

I have installed Oracle Enterprise manager a workstation running Windows 2000. The server agent is on an Alpha ES40 using Tru64 UNIX (formally DEC then COMPAQ now HP). I can go into Enterprise Manager Console and navigate. When I try to create a job and schedule it for immediate the job does not activate. I have Oracle 8.1.6 installed on the ES40. I have tried working with Oracle on this but can not seem to get it to work. They asked that I enter a command nslookup by hostname then by IP. The command by hostname returns the correct IP but when entered by IP I receive a message can not fine <ip address> Non-existent domain.
There are other workstations and servers on our network that return the correct hostname when using IP address in the nslookup command and then there are others that do not.
I am not sure that both of these are related by does anyone have any suggestions on either of these problems.
