Marc, the campus has had a pricing arrangement with this software
publisher for many years, under the management of IST. The MathWorks
no longer wants to give us this highly favorable pricing for new
licenses. We are still in discussion with the company about what new
model would work for Berkeley, if any. For now, as Steven Hansen's
message explained, we have one more opportunity to purchase under
current rates before the pricing reverts to the standard academic
discount.
