Inventory of RDBMSes around the campus

Hi Micronetters!

We in the CCS database administration group are looking to extend our
offerings of centrally supported RDBMSs for those who wish to use our
services. We currently support DB2 (mainframe only), Oracle, MS SQL Server
and Sybase. We're considering support for other database platforms,
especially open-source databases (e.g. MySQL, PostgreSQL).

It would be very useful to know which databases are being used on campus so
we can aim to offer the most relevant support and consulting services.

Would you be willing to share the RDBMS(s) you are using, versions, and
platforms on which you run these?

If so, please send me an email to privers@berkeley.edu. I will be happy to
summarize this information and publish it back on the list for any who would
find this interesting or useful.

Thank you!

Paul Rivers
