OPTRS / PPS - MVS VPN Pilot users - Please note new configuration required.

The final production configuration of the MVS-VPN will be live on Monday
10/11/2004. The only change required on the client side is to change the
destination host of your 3270 emulator product to:
lonicera.berkeley.edu [169.229.251.162]
This is a dedicated interface to the mainframe which is only accessible using
the VPN solution.

You should no longer use the host:
iridea.berkeley.edu [128.32.31.40]
to access the PPS / OPTRS application.

If you have configured your VPN connection using the IP address [169.229.1.34]
instead of the
host name you will need to change the address to:
mvs-vpn.berkeley.edu [169.229.1.38]

I recommend using the host name vs. the IP address to allow for future
changes.

If you have any unanswered questions please send an email to
vpn-mvs-support@lists.berkeley.edu
for assistance.

Thank you for your participation in our pilot.

Kevin Burney
