Scanner Recommendations

Hi all,
       Do any of you have recommendations for a speedy and reliable
scanner for a department to purchase? Our requirements are:
(1)Automatic Document Feeder; (2)Flat-bed of at least legal size; (3)Can
scan directly to PDF (not so interested in OCR). Also, we'd prefer a
desktop model. We'll be scanning text documents exclusively, probably
around 150 pages per day for a few weeks. Price is a consideration, but
we're willing to spend what we need for a high-quality machine. We were
unimpressed last year with an HP Scanjet 7400- the ADF continually
jammed, the documents came out slightly blurry (though that might be due
to compression in the PDF), and it was noisy as anything.
     With so many scanners on the market, it's hard to know what to
expect from any of them. Thanks for your help.
