Colleagues,

The long anticipated move of the computer operations center
to 2195 Hearst went flawlessly this past weekend. Functional
and systems staff completed applications and systems testing
on Sunday and early this morning. All systems are "go" to be
turned over to users for production at noon today.

The following official announcement will be released shortly
to campus Web sites.

Regards,  Jack

"The data center move over the weekend was successful. Application sign-offs are complete for all major campus financial, student, administrative, and distributed systems. Services will be turned over to the campus at noon today, June 28, for production.

Although this completes a major phase of the data center move, there are two more moves planned this week. On June 30, backup and redundant servers will be moved with no anticipated outages. On July 3, the CalMail system will be moved along with some smaller systems that will cause short outages. The schedule and anticipated outages are available on the
campus data center move page."
