The campus VPN pilot service is still in 'pilot' production,
and we encourage any and all to participate:
subscribe to the vpn-pilot mailing list. (email to
majordomo@listlink, the body of the messages 'subscribe vpn-pilot').
subscribers are directed to a web page with more information on
how to download the client, and how to use the service.
Recently, the VPN concentrator was moved to a more permanent
location, closer to the edge of the campus network. The
ip address of the concentrator changed, so pilot users needed
to update their configurations to access the VPN tunnel.
Instructions appear on the website with the new parameters.
In addition, WSS has recently made a version of the VPN client
software available with the parameters bundled in, available from
the website also. Pilot folks, please give it a try.
We hope to move the service into production in the upcoming
months. Please continue to provide feedback to the list.
To access the website and client software, please subscribe
to the vpn-pilot mailing list as described above.
thanks,
Siegrid
