        Well, some would say that you won't have *this* particular
problem too much longer. ;)

        You might want to consider a very different route -- namely,
going through an IMAP server. (Eudora has a few annoyances related
to doing this, but it can be done.)

o Start at the original machine. Connect to your favorite IMAP server.

o Drag messages (this is the annoyance -- Eudora doesn't seem to let
you drag whole mailboxes, but rather you have to select all of the
messages within the mailbox) to the IMAP server.

o Close Eudora on the original machine, and move to the new machine.
Connect to the IMAP server from the new machine. Drag all the
messages from the IMAP server down to a new local mailbox on the new
machine.

        A little click-and-drag intensive, but it generally seems to
work just fine. Probably worth doing just to get it over with -- if
you've only got a machine or two to do in this way.
