@berkeley.edu addressing

hi,

I've done a voluntary early migration to the new
calmail system and am happy to say that using the
Thunderbird email client (at J Forrest's suggestion)
with IMAP, my switchover has been straightforward.
However, the @berkeley.edu address is not working for me:

----- The following addresses had permanent fatal errors -----
<leigh@berkeley.edu>
(reason: 550 leigh@berkeley.edu unknown user account)

The BERT faq suggests that after migrating to calmail,
the BEEF address should work automatically, see

http://bert.berkeley.edu/calmail/help/faqs.html#berkeley-addressing

Has anyone else done the migration and succeeded in
getting their @berkeley.edu address to work properly
for receiving mail?
