This is not the best idea, generally speaking, unless you have no other
alternative.
Definitely check the CNS policy page if you're on the campus net before you
even think about this.

No, it doesn't, but I'm not going to argue it. No wireless solution
currently available behaves exactly like standard wired ethernet. And MAC
address lists are a good idea, but by themselves are not secure.
