There are many third-party companies that repair laptop computer
LCD displays, not to mention the many repair options -- via
authorized service centers, onsite repairs, and/or mail-in repairs --
that may be available through Dell and other laptop manufacturers.

To give you some idea of what such repairs might cost, one of these
third-party repair depots has conveniently provided a detailed
breakdown of the costs of the individual parts which frequently fail
in LCD displays, together with that company's labor costs:

   http://www.repairlcd.com/lcdrepair.html

While I have absolutely no experience with this specific company,
this page might help guide you in identifying the potential types of
repairs required, as well as the range of possible repair costs ...
assuming outright replacement of the LCD panel isn't needed.
